I am guessing this will be released Region 1 as a Five Star Collection, like the new Speed Five Star (also pictured here, but with a R2 design).

Anyone knows any set dates for R1 releases of these two?
Because I can already place an order for a cheap R4 set.

Ugh, PREDATOR's artwork is really quite garish...here's hoping it's changed for the R1 release...

They are both rather ugly. I am sure Region 1 will not get this awful cover.....

Actually, I prefer that Predator artwork to the Speed. If the Speed cover was just the shot of the bus, it would be cool. I hate it when they slap a body shot on there like that.

I know the Speed disc is supposed to be coming out this year, but I don't think Predator is coming out till 2003.

I like the Fight Club style packaging but I absolutely loathe the art. It looks ridiculous as does most R2 cover art in my opinion.

Something tells me us Region 1 people won't see either of these any time soon...

I don't recall hearing about Fox releasing a new expanded version of Predator anytime in the near future...just a crappy P/S edition. As for Speed ..I imagine the packaging will look similar to the Die Hard or M*A*S*H's Five Star series editions.

I'm not all that fond of the deluxe cardboard packaging....they certainly look cool..but they're just not gonna hold up over the long run. Seven & Tombstone are quite beautifully done and captures the whole essence of the films but the wear and tear will eventually catch up. a nicely designed fold out or booklet would be ok with me instead.

So, Arnold is on the cover with green jungle background for R4 Australia release, him with a nicer looking title at the top for R2 Japan, and the best of all with Predator for R2 UK, which I'll most likely get, thus far we have 3 different covers, R4 being the worst of all, so I wonder what'll it look like for R1?

I'm so happy I hadn't bought either of these movies yet. Can't wait for these editions. They look awsome.

They both look real good, the art for Speed is kinda lame though. I'd bet they will get changed to the Five-Star Collection though. Or some other special edition. Too bad the July 3rd release date is for another region. Maybe by Christmas.
