Where's Enter the Ninja??

Since MGM has seen fit to put out "American Ninja," how long before they get to the definitive 1980s Ninja trilogy -- Cannon Pictures' "Enter the Ninja," "Revenge of the Ninja," and "Ninja III:The Domination"? "Revenge" is probably the best, but "Enter" is by far the funniest, with Franco Nero perhaps the least convincing martial artist in the history of film (taking a limo to the big Ninja fight in full costume is a nice touch), and Christopher George mugging, looking, and sounding like Liberace as the fey villain. ("Where are you, Ninja?!?!") Plus Sho Kosugi commands the screen with a silent integrity.

I'm sure it's just a matter of time before MGM trots these out, as they're slowly working their way through the Cannon catalog, but has anyone heard anything definite?

I only remember Revenge of the Ninja, I'd like to watch it again to find out if I enjoy it as much as when I was a child.

Sho Kosugi was my hero!, just imagine that... a true Ninja!

I have all three of those movies on...ack..do I dare say it...(whispers quietly)..vhs video. I would love to see them come to DVD even if they were in bare bones additions..as long as they upgraded the sound to 5.1 and the picture to Anamorphic wide...could you imagine hearing the whistling of the ninja stars in full 5.1 surround? That would be so cool!

Interestingly. Sho Kosugi's name shows up in the end credits of "The Scorpion King" -- not as a performer, but as contributing to to the taiko drum parts of the musical score. I wasn't sure it was the same Sho Kosugi, but a later credit thanks something along the lines "Sho Kosugi's Ninja Taiko Drum Team," so unless there's another Ninja named Sho Kosugi, I assume that's what he's up to these days.

Speaking of CANNON & Golan/Globus films how about Missing In Action 2. Now that was a worthwhile prequel!:p
