Coen Brothers DVDs

Here are some Coen films that were listed for release in 2002, but I'll be damned if I can find release dates:

Fargo SE

Raising Arizona SE

Miller's Crossing

Barton Fink

(is the Hudsucker Proxy out on DVD?)

Does anybody know anything about these titles?

The Hudsucker Proxy is out on a bare-bones disc. Don't know the quality of the A/V.

Don't know the release dates for the others, sure would love to thave them though.

Well, I haven't heard anything about a Barton Fink or Miller's Crossing SE (which is a crime IMO), or even bare bones ones for that matter, but they seem to be steadily catching up. The version of Fargo that's out there now is about as "special" as we're going to get I'm affraid, and the AV quality on the Hudsucker Proxy is pretty poor, but I still own it, since I love the film so much

I have Hudsucker Proxy, and I highly recommend it. It is pretty bare, but the a/v is very good. All I can ask for really, and the price is right.

Wow, more fans of the Hudsucker Proxy.

I loved this film, but I must say I've had a hard time finding anyone that doesn't think it sucked. It's got to the point where I just don't bring it up for fear of being mocked.

don't worry man. Whenever I bring up The Wizard of Speed and Time (a top 5 fave for me) for some reason people mock.

and Hudsucker Proxy kicked ass.

You forgot Blood Simple, one of the first Coen Bros. films.

Another big Hudsucker fan here and I also think the DVD is good quality. It would be cool to have a commentary but I would be surprised if there is a lot of stuff to add to a special edition.

Actually I've yet to not love a Coen film....

I too heard about possibilities of Miller's Crossing and Raising Arizona SE's. So I'm definately waiting on those. I haven't heard anything about Barton Fink, but anxiously anticipate any news.

And I've read about the Fargo SE a few times. So I'll certainly hold out for that DVD by MGM. Even if it'll be the 3rd release of the film, the popularity of the film will certainly warrant an eventual SE. Hopefully within the next year....

By the way, the Blood Simple DVD is fantastic.

The Hudsucker Proxy rocks. Plus, it has Jennifer Jason Leigh's sweet ass in period costume!

I'd buy an SE in a heartbeat.

You know! For kids! (from another serious Hudsucker fan)

I own the existing disc, and echo others' comments - it is well worth the money, but I'd gladly buy it again to get a loaded SE.
