South Park --- SEASONS!!

I just read over on the HTForum.... that Warner IS going to be releasing South Park in season sets starting this fall!

It was posted by the co-owner, Ronald Epstein, so it certainly seems like it's gonna come true!!

Excellent news!!!!!!!

The one feature I hope they include is an option to turn the bleeping off.

Great news! I hope it doesn't take them a year to release each season though. I can't wait 6 years to get up to season 6!

About the bleeping thing. Personally, I find the bleeping funnier than if they were to include all the swearing. The swearing just wouldn't be as funny after awhile.

Hot Diggity DAMN!!!!

I stopped by the South Park discs when they went to "Theme Discs" for a reason.

Cue that much dancing and rejoicing in the streets!

Now how about a "That's My Bush!" set?

Do you think that they'll start with the first season? I thought that at least all of season 1 was released with 3-4 episodes a disc in individual releases. It wasn't until Warner got the rights to them that they did "best of"s and theme sets.
Maybe I'm wrong though.

Now this is great news! We've had too many exciting DVD announcements the past week - it's overload!

I agree that the bleeping should be left in. The whole point of South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut was that we could finally hear them swear. If it was suddenly in every episode, it would lose its effect. Besides, I'm pretty sure the profanity was never included in the show to begin with. As far as I know, it was always just bleeps.

As far as I remember, most South Park epsiodes are bleeped when doing the voiceovers. Hence no swearing on the master copies that are sent to Comedy Central. So most likely the DVD's will not have swearing....

Hopefully, they'll jack up the video bitrate. The previous releases look like a bad AVI from 1992.

Some of the first discs had some annoying pops in the audio. If they start over, they should make sure these don't have the pops.

Also, I understand that the show is done entirely with computers. If that is true, direct-digital transfers would be great.

This is great news, I've been holding off buying any of those best of sets for a definite release of seasons.

Will the earlier discs have the same humourous intros by Trey and Matt ?

Will it be all the seasons? I hope they are uncensored like they say "Fuck" and "Shit" and all that other stuff.

I think half the 'language humor' comes from it being censored. Funnier to hear 'sh-beep-t' instead of 'shit'.

I am extremely pumped about this, but I hope they do every season even though I already have all the South Park DVDs....

What about Kenny-friendly subtitles?

That would be hella-cool.

The movie did this for about half of Kenny's talking, but it still has a lot of "muffled response"s instead of the actual text. I held off buying any of the existing TV discs - do they have this feature?

That'd be cool. Like on the Snatch DVD, English, French, Pikey.

That is true. You are right. It is always funnier when tv shows have censored language. I don't know why it's funnier it just is.
