Asian X Files Sets - DVDfile.com forum for DVD, Blu-Ray, and HD-DVD

Maybe someone can help me with this. I see quite a few X Files Seasons shipping from Hong kong on eBay at very low prices. My question is, are these legitimate releases or pirated bootlegs? I realize there are no extras, but are the picture and sound quality the same as the American releases? Thanks.

Those are bootlegs, they might be fine in terms of video/audio but might be lowered bitrate if they used single layer discs, which is often the case.
I've ordered a few anime bootleg DVD sets and they are impossible to watch because subtitles are terrible, they flash for half a second and there is no way you can read it that fast, plus some were of terrible quality because they stuck 4 hours on a single layer DVD and used some kind of old terrible transfer.
I wouldn't recommend it. It is only a last resort if no other legitimate release is available anywhere in the world in any region.
