How much time do you spend watching DVDs on an average day?

I spend on average 4 to 5 hours per day/I know I'm pathetic with no life

I answered this poll based on an average wek of vieweing my DVDs.

Unfortunately, I usually only get to view about 1-2 DVDs A WEEK lately.

Hopefully, I will have more time in the near future, but as for now it looks like it will remain that way.

I am SERIOUSLY considering buying a mediocre DVD player to bring to work.

I am doing some owrk in my living room, so my main HT set up is temporarily out of commision.

I always try and have a disk in the player in the bedroom and watch 30-60 minutes of a DVD before bed. Even if it's just extra features or something.

Last night I was feeling lazy, so I got all the way thru "Deliverance" on DVD.

I usually only watch DVDs on the weekend, unless I'm stuck in the flat because of bad weather (rain) and then I may peruse a film. If it's a TV set, I'll try to limit myself to one episode a night (but with Buffy it's hard).

If I have insomnia, I'll throw in a platter (usually with a commentary on--Ridley Scott's voice is so soothing, tranquil, that I'm in a blissful sleep shortly after the commentary starts).

I tend not to watch DVDs everyday. I always pop one or two in over the weekend (sometimes more if its bad weather), then if I go to the theaters I get my fix for the day. But during most of the week, I have work and different things to attend to.

I voted the first choice since I only get around to actually watching 1-2 dvds a week, sometimes more, sometimes none.

I voted on a weekly average myself, and it comes out to less than 1 hour a day. I work about 18 1/2 hours a day Monday to Friday, and on Saturday I work 12 hours and Sundays I work 8 hours. It sucks having 2 jobs

I only watch dvds on the weekends most of the time. I might watch one on a weekday provided that the tv shows I watch are reruns. I usually watch dvd(s) when I'm off work for a holiday or personal vacation day or when inventory is going on.

I usually try to watch a dvd each evening after work. I try to catch up on special features when I don't have time to watch an entire movie. Weekends usually vary. Some weekends are almost entirely comprised of DVD watching, but most of the time I'm out of town for the weekend, so viewing is minimal.

I usually don't feel like watching a whole movie every day, sometimes not even every week. I often pop in a concert DVD of Queen, Roger Waters, or The Wall the movie just for the music, and listen to a few songs, or maybe watch a favorite scene of my favorite movies. I usually only watch a movie in its entirety if I just bought it, or have not much else to do.

I don't really have an average day, so it's tough for me to say. For instance, I spent about 7 hours today watching DVDs, but I've gone several weeks without watching a single DVD. So, it varies.

Like most others here, I only have time for about 1 or maybe 2 DVDs a week. So that averages out to well under an hour a day. Some weeks are busier than others, but that's the average I guess.

I anticipate pdjenning's response in this thread!

It's amusing how some people are saying they're too busy during the week to get around to watching movies, yet they spend hours and hours a day lurking or posting here ABOUT the movies they don't have time to watch.

I watch a TV episode during lunch and a full movie during dinner, so that's about 3-4 hours a day, every day, and I still have at least 150 dvds that I've never seen.
This sucks!

Believe me, if I could watch DVDs while at work I WOULD. Instead I visit this site periodically to fulfill my DVD cravings.

I look forward to watching my DVDs everynight unless I have plans. Even if I do make plans on the 'average' day, if I don't get in too late, I will put in at least an hour each night.

I obssess over certain films. I enjoy watching my DVDs. Can only imagine what my watching habit will be like when I get my 16:9 screen. WWEEHEE! New toys to look forward to.

If I'm not watching DVDs, I'm thinking about watching DVDs. When I'm asleep, I dream about watching DVDs.

I try to get one disc in per day off, and on my breaks during the day maybe a doc or part of a commentary. I have roughly 10 or 12 discs I have given a cursory look, maybe just watching part of the movie or perusing the features. Yesterday; however, I watched three and some featurettes. Monday night I was lined up for two new discs, but after catching a Dario Argento doc on IFC, I watched Suspiria and Tenebrae instead! Oh, my moods...

Normally only at weekends. But i do collect DVD's around November (so all the good movies are out) and have a collection over the Christmas holidays of around thirty movies. I try and watch them all in between drinking, eating and generally having a good time. I think i will be watching AOTC and Spidey (if the rumoured release date is true) first of all!
I can however, go several months without watching a movie!

Wow eel, you have such self control or no time to watch...teeheehee

Depending on what the film is, I too sometimes can wait on certain flicks however there are some DVDs that I have to get my grubby hands on and watch right away.

Me too! And with football, and basketball over, and the SD Padres having a horrible season, it's been "movie night" lately for me!
