I had heard that there were new editions of both of these discs
coming out in the near future, but i have not heard anything on these releases in quite some time. Does anyoe know anything about them?

I would really like to replace my videos, but i dont want to buy the current versions if the new ones are one the horizon.

I also heard that one, or both of these titles were "flip discs" (movie spanning both sides)

These flicks really need a better release.

Heat should have a better release as well.

any info out there?

I recall reading something similar, not long after buying Casino (fortunately it was only £4.99). Hopefully they'll release CEs of both films soon. As for flippers If I can remember correctly Goodfellas is a flipper

Goodfellas is indeed a flipper; Casino is not. A new version of Goodfellas will be coming out soon hopefully, since I sold my old version. The current release of Casino is pretty good, and I doubt a new version is coming any time soon, at least no announcements have been made.

I am 99% sure thedigitalbits reported in their Rumor Mill a Goodfellas SE which was a great reason for me to ebay my Goodfellas flipper. It was quite a while ago though & there is still no release date listed anywhere.
