DVD Recomendation...

Hey, can you guys recomend me a DVD to purchase tomorrow, please see my DVD Wishlist in my signature if you'd like to know all the titles I have in mind.

I'm just a bit stumped as of which I should pick up. And please, don't reccomend one of the box sets.

thanks.

The Rock Criterion Collection. I just watched this again the other day, and this movie still kicks ass. Easily my favorite Michael Bay flick. I never really noticed the strong supporting cast before either, with solid actors like Tony Todd, David Morse, and John C. McGinley as part of the bad guy group. Good commentary track, too.

If you're a military buff, though, you might try Behind Enemy Lines. Just rented it the other week, and I was surprised by how much authentic aerial footage they shot with real aircraft and on the aircraft carrier. When I saw trailers of it, I thought most of it was going to be CGI stuff like ID4, but I was surprised at a lot of the real aircraft footage, probably the most since Top Gun.

Here are some titles from your list that I recommend:
  • The Abyss
  • The Rock (Criterion)
  • Starship Troopers SE
  • Traffic (Criterion)
  • Se7en (Platinum)
I would be happy with any of those purchases...

Peace....

No contest, Almost Famous Bootleg Cut. This new edition turns a great film into a masterpiece. It even gets better on repeated viewings.

Get Requiem for a Dream. It's one of my favorite movies. Or Memento. What I'm curious about is WHY THE HELL DONT YOU ALREADY OWN FIGHT CLUB? I thought that movie was mandatory for members of this board!
