What's the Best/Worst DVD Cover Art of All Time?

I've noticed that alot of people are not happy with most DVD Cover Arts. But every once in awhile there is a good cover art. So what is your favorite cover art & which one do you hate the most?
Favorite:Fight Club
Hate The Most:The 6th Day Special Edition Two Disc Set.

I just love the way this box/cover sleeve is designed.
Coming in second place is the Memento:LE, I never had any problem with it like other people here. I think it looks great and am able to take it out of the case with everything still in tact and in perfect condition. Guess I'm just fortunate.

Pretty much ANY cover art by The Criterion Collection is light years better than pretty much any cover art by the major studios.

There's always exceptions, but that's my general opinion.

Just about any cover where 75% of it is someone's face...the Real Genius DVD cover comes to mind, as well as Uncommon Valor.

I don't have any problem with Memento LE box either. I love that. I would also place that is the second best box art ever!

YES!

I have Memento:LE but haven't had the chance to open it yet. Its a treat that I am looking forward to once I finish moving into my new home.

Brazil Criterion is the best design so far. I haven't seen anything to surpass that.

The only bad cover design DVD that I own is the first issue of "An American Werewolf in London". Its not horrible (teeheehee) but it is the worst design cover I have.

I really hate the Yojimbo/Sanjuro covers. I think those are the worst ones in my collection.

The best one I like is The Last Temptation of Christ. I think the cover is classy and suits the movie perfect.

I actually went thru all my dvds and picked my top 5 faves!

5. The Ultmate Scream Collection

4. Se7en

3. Almost Famous Bootleg Cut

2. The Simpsons Season 1

1. The Sixth Sense Vista Series

Although this might all change with Pearl Harbor Vista Series.

I hate the Memento LE packaging, ugh, it's so hard to get the thing out and well, it was hard to put the stuff back on right. so i took the pics or whatever and put them in my dvd folder, which includes the moulin rouge/simpsons backings...

The cover art for "Sexy Beast" is terrible when you've seen one of the two cover arts for the R2 disc

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...tem=1545827405

This is what I was hoping for instead of those land of a thousand faces covers we got that captures nothing of the film's flavor. The movie is basically a very dark comedy, but there is no implication of that in the R1 cover.

And Criterion can be great, "The Red Shoes" and "Rushmore," or terrible, the previously mentioned "Sanjuro." The best cover art that I own is the "Repo Man" tin.

The Repo Man Tin is fantastic, it captures the movie just perfectly. I think the Evil Dead: Book of the Dead falls in this same catagory.
Rushmore Criterion is one of my favorites. I still love the Alien Legacy box art.

I was actually gonna buy Sexy Beast Region 2, and buy a region all player just for that movie and the cover art looked better!!! LMAO! but never ended up doing it.

I'll agree with the worst being 'Real Genius'. When you look at the thing you think Val Kilmer's a girl!

The best are hard to decide, although I really like Evil Dead: BotD. All discs that also have their original posters as cover art are ranked highly in my book.

I also think that the Sexy Beast R2 cover is worse that the R1 cover (which is bad it's self).

Yuck! That picture of Val Kilmer is pretty ugly. But for ugliest cover that I own, I would have to go with either Moby Play The DVD (white, orange and silver colours suck) or A Beautiful Mind (Crowe looks as if he is about to hurl).

Most attractive would go to Akira by pioneer or Brazil by criterion.

Two that have really struck me as ugly are "A Beautiful Mind" and "Oceans Eleven". It is obvious that the studios would rather have cover art with a notable star to draw in the uneducated customer.

PS: "Vanilla Sky" Bad Cover, Worse Movie

I love cover art that reminds you of the original ad campaign. A cover that is instantly recognizable.

I sometimes love cover art almost as much as the movie itself.
