Anyone know what these 2 movies are???

I need help identifying these 2 movies:

1) I remember seeing some of this on TV once. Its a group of kids, I think they have some type of abandoned house or some place they hang out at. One of the kids meets this girl and they like each other. The girls dad is a tow truck driver. The guy who likes his daughter ends up shooting him accidently I think. So rather than tell the girl he accidently shot and killed her father, he gets her to run away with him. The movie ends with both of them leaving on a subway or bus or something.

2) Never saw this movie, only the trailer which was attached to "A Million To Juan" a LONG time ago. The trailer starts off with this mother taking her little girl to some gypsy or psychic of some sorts. And she tells the mother her girl will never get married, or find true love. Then we see the girl has a HUGE thumb on one hand.:barf:

Anyone know the name of any of these two?

...ahh...

1) ...haven't got the foggiest...

2) Even Cowgirls Get The Blues ... the movie that, I'm sure, Gus Van Zant and Uma Thurman would rather forget they ever made...

Also not sure about #1.

But #2 is definately Gus Van Sant's Even Cowgirls Get the Blues. One of the most criticaly bashed films of the past decade or so. It's a shame to, it's such an amazing book as the source material. One of the funniest reads I've ever had.

If The Boy's Club isn't the film you're thinking of Icon769, it could be this film. (click picture for synopsis/review)

...after reading these three glowing reports from Australia, one can only wonder why Hurricane Streets hasn't been released on DVD (when so many other - probably less deserving - movies have)...
