Blade 1 and 2

I saw this back in 1998 and didn't like it. I wanted to see Blade 2 but never got the chance. So today I saw Blade in a sale for 9.99. I got it, I liked it. Not as bad as I remember. I think, maybe, perhaps I will get the sequel on DVD now.

But how good is it. Will there be DTS sound? I have heard different things about it from different sources.

Shawn

Blade II is one of the better films of the year. Non-stop action, awesome vampires, and great SFX. It'll be a two-disc with DTS. Can't wait!

Highly Recommend it. Excluding Lord of the Rings, this is my most anticipated DVD. Some might disagree, but I thought Blade II was slightly better than the first one. The fight scenes are unbelievable. Blade doesn't have a soft spot anywhere, he just want to get rid of the baddies, and then some!

Great Movie! Well if you like that sort of thing...

I preferred the sequel too, more action and more blood n guts (even seems to try and be a horror movie in parts instead of just a straight action film).

BUT,

A few people I know prefer the first one, as they feel the second just doesn't have any/enough story to it - and to be honest (while I disagree the first is superior) I can see where they are coming from.

I was sorely disappointed with Blade 2, and it had to do with a complete lack of any real character development, and a paper-thin story. Although I thought it was a good idea in theory, the fact that almost the entire movie was composed of head-ache inducing action sort of killed it for me. The only good things in it, IMO, were the BloodPack (they simply rocked) and the vampire club scene (I wanna go there!!).
That said, I will probably at least rent the DVD (just to see the deleted scenes) and will be in the theatre the weekend Blade 3 comes out. What can I say, I *loved* the first one and have an unhealthy obsession with vampires in general...

The first defintly had a stronger stroy line but the second one still has a good one. The speical effects/fights in the second are great!

the first had so much more in the character line, but it being better then 2 in that area does not make two a bad movie, i rather enjoyed it and i think i saw it twice, i wll also be buying the dvd for sure since i enjoy watching the first so much-good role for Wesley Snipes
