Friday the 13th Part 7 Cover Art

I found this in the pre-order section of a DVD retailer site. I apologize for it being blurry, but the image was extremely small so I tried to blow it up. I guess it isn't too bad, but I still prefer the original poster art (of course it doesn't matter, because I still won't be buying it since it's the R-rated version).

Looks alright. :p Jason looks imposing, just as he is in Part 7. Pity about the r-rated cut, moreso considering Para-ripoff disregared director JCB's wishes to work on it as an SE.

That's the worst yet! They didn't even TRY! UGH!
Goddamned Paramount.

and sadly, the original poster art for this version was among the best in the series. I'm still buying it though.

I have the original Friday 7 poster, which is identical to the old video box and I must say that I like this new cover. Same goes for parts 5 and 6.Part 7's old image, to me, is unimaginative, but still gets the job done ( I have the poster because part 7 was always a childhood fav). I guess Paramount could, but never would, have reversable cover art.

the new Part 8 cover sucks though, I would have loved to see the original I LOVE NY cover. That thing rules!

I like the I NY one as well. Someone over at DVDCoverArt.com created some alternate artwork for the Part 7 & 8 discs, and one of them has it on there. It's pretty neat.

The Part 8 poster that features I Love NY was recalled because that NY logo is copyrighted so instead of paying the money Paramount simply put out another poster. Another story, from the imdb states: "The original poster for the film featured Jason ripping through an "I Love NY" poster. However, the poster was dropped following a complaint from the New York Tourism Committee."
