SPIDER-MAN by November 1st.

Spider-Man will come out in November 1st and its pretty packed.
Its a 2 disc set (sadly no DTS track , but hey Dolby sounded great on the theater with this one )

Wow, it looks like an expensive November...

Yeah, but I am not sure if I will pick it up. I figure if it has the WTC teaser I will nab it. If it doesn't, I might wait. A sequel is on the way, and my friend said another one is planned after that. I smell a box set down the road.

Your friend is right, Avid. They're gearing up for a second film in 2004 and at least a third one beyond that.

And as for the banned WTC trailer, you can pick it up on DVD right now. It's on the current issue of Movie FX DVD magazine (issue #4) for $10 at bookstores. The quality on the print of the trailer is exceptional, so it's well worth the price. If the Spider-Man DVD doesn't include the WTC trailer, it'll be their loss, because it's out there on DVD in all its legal glory!

The lack of the WTC trailer, will be a real shame.
Another shame is that it dosent include a DTS track, though i saw it in Dolby Digital and sounded incredible, a DTS track could be even better.

I enjoyed this film a lot.So count me in November 1st

Interesting that they changed the cover art for the different aspect ratios. I know some fans will be mad, because it gives the P&S version something the WS doesn't, but I think it should cut down on confusion, well, maybe--it will be easier to tell them apart, besides the banner across the top.

I got an idea:
You can buy both versions.
Burn the F.F. version, but grab the insert,of the Widescreen one and put the insert as the widescreen cover!

If I had to choose between just the covers, I would get the cover to the P/S version. That artwork is really nice.

However, there's only one version I'm getting... widescreen all the way!

I also have to tell you that the DVD-ROM feature of record your own commentary sounds excellent!

I had always wanted to make my own commentary

I like the widescreen cover better, thank God.

The set sounds loaded. I thought Tobey Maguire and Willem Dafoe were going to be on the commentary though.

Oh well, can't wait!

I too like the WS cover art better....
I guess since this movie was so big, Columbia isn't pulling the ole "better version in 6-8 months" ploy. At least I hope not.

I like the widescreen cover better too! Spider-Man fills more of the image in the widescreen cover and I like the pose better.
Also the red on the banner and left side of the package looks a lot better and matches the movie better than orange.

I'll read the specs later, but I already plan on buying this movie when or soon after it comes out.

I like the WS cover better, but the image from the teaser poster would have been even better...

Oh, does anyone know just what the LE edition will have besides the Amazing Fantasy 15 reprint?

Well if what are you saying its true.
Well thanks for the heads-up

I am not much of a Spider-Man fan, i loved the film and enjoy the comics.

But i never liked the cartoon, so i will be getting the Superbit (if it is coming as dae is saying, but it will come, i feel it)
