Meet the Feebles DVD!

Hey!

Cool news for Peter Jackson fans!
Michael Felsher broke the news last night at the annual Anchor Bay Live Chat.
Anchor Bay has acquired the rights to "Meet the Feebles".
They will release at the end of 2003. No words on extras as of yet.

So now, where's Dead Alive?

Stay groovy,
ILSA

Hah!

Actually, despite the fact that it seems to have every single trailer for every crappy horror flick ever made, the current "Meet the Feebles" disc is pretty good. Okay, Anchor Bay will DEFINITELY do a better transfer, but still, we are talking about a movie made on a budget only slightly higher than "Bad Taste"'s
Oh, and Dead Alive is out on disc from Trimark, still in print last I heard (I can get a copy at Borders.)

NICE!
Thanks for the news flash, ILSA!
Yes, it WOULD be nice to get an S.E. for DEAD ALIVE/BRAINDEAD. Got the barebones DVD right now and it's just SCREAMING for something to replace it. Also can't wait for THE FRIGHTENERS S.E. that's on it's way!

I still haven't seen 'Meet the Feebles' so I'm looking forward to the SE. I finally caught Dead Alive for the first time on IFC's 'Weekend of the Living Dead.' What a riot! If only Peter Jackson were less timid in his use of fake blood... I'd love to see a DVD release comparable to the Anchor Bay 'Bad Taste' disc.

Well I picked up the Substance dvd version of meet the feebles last night but, I haven't opened it yet because I have heard that the other version may be better. My version looks like this:

The other version I have heard of looks like the original US poster art for meet the feebles:

Just wondering if anyone had both of these versions and could compare the two.

this is great news. Hope they do a big Tin for it. those things are good to show off. Way to go Anchor Bay! Now if they'd only do a special edition of The Black Hole.....

If Anchor Bay could get Dead Alive as well, they could do a box set of Taste, Feebles, and Alive called " Peter Jackson: The Early Years". Heck, they could try to get Quicksilver (name?), his fake documentary.

Dudes, U know what I would like AB to do? Release the soundtrack along with the release like they did for Suspiria and Opera.

1st of all, I can't find the soundtrack anywhere.

2ndly, the soundtrack is quite good & funny! That Sodomy tune is hilarious!

Oh, as far as the DeadAlive version of Meet The Feebles that came out...no friggin' chapter stops! I got a couple of favorite scenes & I have to do the 'ol FFWD/REW bit!
