Film characters that you identify an awful lot with.

Basically for me, it would be Max Fischer from "Rushmore".
Though i wasn´t one of the worst students ( i was more in the middle, with B+ averages).
When i was 12-17 i looked exactly like him, and felt the same way.
And i had a fight with the principal once, and i was quite a rebel.
I even once fell in love with my teacher.
And i wrote plays and a lot of stuff, and i also was the founder of many clubs.

I was particulary a rebel, but i was somewhat responsible.

Damn near every character John Cusack has ever played. Sometimes I think he's been following me around taking notes.

Dante and Randel from Clerks

Dante:

-trust worthy employee
-comes in on days off and sometimes gets screwed by boos (stay longer then wanted too)
-stupid repeat customers
-hard worker and sometimes goes unnoticed
-druggies always trying to sneak into theaters with food or theater itself (well i guess out of store with food but you get the point)
-incident goes reported on your fault when it wasn't your fault (Randel sells cigarettes to kid. I got in trouble for not salting the theater steps 6 hours after my shift was done. *by lady who fell and cracked her head open on steps when she slipt on ice* but not in trouble from management)
-rooms always a mess and never seem to really wake up in the morning

Randel:

-customers who can't read anything(where's theater 6? Point to sign beside them)
-feel like taking out/spitting on some customers
-likes to make some guests feel unwelcome/tick them off when they make you pissed off
-tell people what you thought of movie when you haven't seen it but have read reviews
-sold cigarettes to kids (but they were the candy kind )

Sad thing is this is all work related. Wait until i talk about the other part of my life but these 2 do stick out a lot. That's why Clerks is my favourite Kevin Smith movie.

I have to agree with Bob and say Dante & Randall from Clerks. I work at a video store too.
- "Where is 'title'?" ... "Here" ... "OK, where is 'title'?" ... "Here" ... "Alright, where is 'title'?" ... "Here" ... "Oh! They're alphabetized?!?" ... "Yup"

Also Stiffler from American Pie 1, not 2 though. I always had a thing for older women in High School. I would never ever use our bathrooms, even to take a leak. I could never identify and hang out with 99.9% of the population, I was too geeky for the popular folk and too popular for the geeky folk.

Unfortunately, I actually identify with Steve Buscemi's character in Ghost World... not totally, but enough for that movie to be really depressing...

The character I identify with most isn't a "character" at all and isn't in a movie. But if you've read A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius, I really identify with Dave Eggers... I'm just a really similar person in a lot of ways...

Brodie from Mallrats. Same type of arguing nature.

Enid from Ghost World - because she is kind of drifting through her adolescence and can't relate to about 90% of humanity.

I would probably have to say Steve Buscemi's character in Ghost World . And throw in a little Donnie Darko as well.

Max Fischer too (in high school, all of a few months ago!) I was a good kid but I'm not very academic (especially in math, yikes) and I'd make up a lot of things to make myself seem more interesting. Now it's Enid from Ghost World, I have no idea what the heck I'm doing and I like weird people. Scary!

Ikea, I believe that you're referring to Finch. He was the one that slept with Stifler's Mom.

I would have to identify that guy from Office Space. My work life seems so much like his. I just wish that I could come in when I want, wear what I want...

I can't think of any characters that are exacly like me. I identify with John C. Reily's character in Magnolia because I think that we share some of the ame compassion and idealism. I sometimes see myself as a cross between Enid and Seymour in Ghostworld. Finally, I'm sometimes afaid that I'll end up in the same situation as Tony Leung's character in In the Mood For Love. I can be quite shy.

I'll have to mix in a few characters for this one :

Mix in part 'Rob' (Cusack's character in 'High Fidelity')

Part 'Lloyd Dobbler' (Cusack's role in 'Say Anything').

A little bit of Steve Buscemi's character in 'Trees Lounge'

and maybe a little bit of 'Ray Kinsella' (Costner) - 'Field of Dreams'

and Jeffrey 'The Dude' Lebowski in 'The Big Lebowski'.

Mostly the Cusack characters though!!

edited to add

'Peter' (Rob Livingston) from 'Office Space'

a touch of 'David St. Hubbins' - 'This is Spinal Tap'

and 'Mike' (Matt Damon's role) in 'Rounders'

Jumble them all in a blender and that's pretty much me...

I would identify with Peter Gibbons (Ron Livingston), at my old job( I quit it, becuase people were annoying) but there was the "Dress for success day" which we had about once a month, where we were supposed to wear dress clothes, but not me, I once wore sweatpants and a t shirt, and another time I wore doctor's scrubs, an when most boss asked why I was wearing them, I say "It is Dress for Success day, and doctors are successful, not telemarketers." She told me to go home and change but I just left and went to Best Buy and bought some dvd's and went home and watched them.

Another time, I had Pizza Hut, and I did the cheese doddle scene with Peter and Lumberg, but what I did was I just put my pizza and breadsticks on my desk( no plate) and then pour my marinara(sp?) sauce on my desk, I got sent home for that too.

The great part was they were a afraid to fire me because I always read books there about Serial Killers and my boss thought I was crazy, the day I quit my friend who still worked there at the time told me, they sent around a memo(no, not atps report, but I did have close to 8 different bosses) that if I came back to tell a manager and I would be arrested.

It was the worse place every to work. I hate telemarketing!!!!

I'm a combination between Ray Stantz in Ghostbusters, Frank Drebin in The Naked Gun, and Betelgeuse from Beetlejuice. Don't ask mw how I came up with that combination, but if you knew me you'd agree. :p

"the dude" from big lebowski. i don't bowl or have long hair, but besides that i try to model my life after him.

"macready" from the thing (kurt russell's character). noteable quotes: "i just want to go back to my shack and get drunk." and "yeah, well FUCK YOU TOO!"

Well, I have the same appearance as Christopher Lambert in Highlander. I look kind of psychotic the way he did in that movie, but I'm the good guy. :-\

I can definitely relate to the Office Space guy too. In fact I've been debating if I should buy that movie even though its bare-bones and I think I will now.

Oddly though, the character I most relate to is Silent Bob. I'm not shy at all, but I'm happy to keep to myself and let others do the talking.
