It's supposed to be out today, but maybe not every store got their shipment yet.

I had a copy IN MY HAND at Fry's Electronics in Fremont, CA and I almost bought it but they were selling it for $34.99 and I had a buddy at work do a price check for me at DeepDiscountDVD.com and they were selling it for $29.28, so I just bought a copy from DeepDiscountDVD.com.

BOTH Speed and Speed 2 are THX mastered w/ dts audio and 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen video transfers...

Woo-Hoo!!!

Peace....

I love the first one: Speed. Gonna pick up the 5 star asap.

But I've never seen the second. I heard that it sucks big time. Anyone here even like Speed 2????

Is it worth even a rental???

Speed II wasn't that bad. It was a decent action flick but deffinatly not as good as the first.

*SPOILER?*
I still can't figure out why that cruise ship had a damn chain saw on board though.

I seen it at Superstore for $34.88 cnd and said screw it, so I bought Speed($23.88) and The Royal Tenenbaums ($20.77). They had a lot of copies of both Speed and the Box set with both of them.

I went into Future Shop today with the intensions of just buying the Speed 5 star Edition, it was $24.99. However, the collectors box set that includes Speed 2 was only $5 more! So I got both for $29.99.

I think its a bargain to get the mediocre sequel, brand new, for only 5 bucks more.

Yes, both the Speed: 5-star and Speed 2: Special Edition are included in the two-pack (although they call S2 and SE, I don't see any difference between this one and the previous release...).

For me, it is the exact opposite way around.

I hate Speed. :barf:

But I like Speed 2

I got my Tupak at play.com for £18.99

LOL...... ok, i have never heard anyone say that before. It's definetly rare to find someone who liked the sequel more than the first one... I personally didn't find part 2 all that bad either (even Roger Ebert liked it ). But Speed however, was the bomb-diggity.

At any rate, the Speed 2-pack was being sold at my local Futureshop with many in stock, along with an abundance of the Speed: 5-Star single version...... But i didn't see any Speed 2: SE's on the shevles. Peculiar.

probably because the box set only comes with the 5 star SPEED and the normal Speed2.

Speed 2 isnt a special edition or ne thing.
its just that normal dvd..
