Men in black 2 officially announced

from this very site

I suppose it's a foregone conclusion at this point that the minute the latest blockbuster starts to fall out of the box office top ten, we're gonna get the DVD announcement in no time flat. So glad to see that the still-in-theaters Men in Black II is no exception, with Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment just announcing a 11/26 street date for the Barry Sonnenfeld sequel, again starring Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones as everyone's favorite alien-busting FBI agents. Columbia will release separate widescreen and full frame two-disc sets with a retail price of $27.95 each, and stay tuned for the full specs...
I really enjoyed it in fact IMO is's better than the first MIB

The movie sucked big time. What a waste of good talent. Maybe the DVD will be longer?

I'll pass on this DVD. I didn't care much at all for MIB2. In fact, it's just MIB...with worse effects. IMHO of course.

MIB 2 wasn't to bad.. it was worth the 2.50 I spent to see it. ( Yeah I waited for it to go to the cheap theatre) I will wait to see when it comes out if it is on my list of must haves tho.

The first time I watched MIBII, I was disappointed as well. It just didn’t live up to the first one.

As time went on though, and after subsequent viewings (I’m a projectionist), I really started to like it. Where the first one ripped off the whole X-Files thing, and yokel farmers and alien abductions, this one ripped off 50s and 60s Sci-Fi. And I think that’s its charm. It’s taken the Men In Black world and made a completely different movie in it. Try watching it again with this in mind, and I’ll think you’ll enjoy it a lot more.

While it was not as good, I thought it was still an enjoyable movie. It sucked having to explain all this stuff from the last movie though. Why did they wrap up the prior movie in a neat little bow just to unravel it for this one?

I won't be buying this DVD not because I don't want it but because if the first MIB is any indication there will be 3-4 editions over the next year.
