Miyazaki's (Princess Mononoke) "Sherlock Hound" - DVDfile.com forum for DVD, Blu-Ray, and HD-DVD

i noticed that a new anime dvd called "sherlock hound" is for sale. i also notice it is writen and direct by miyazaki of "my neighbor totoro" and "mononoke" fame. has anyone seen this yet, and if so, what did you think of it? i've read it was miyazaki's last t.v. anime. i've seen almost all of miyazaki's work and i like his children's films best.

Miyazaki only directed the first six episodes. After that someone for the television studio took over. The first couple of episodes are pretty good, but the dialogue can sometimes drag on. I stopped watching after the second disc.

I saw a couple of Sherlock Hound titles at the store, and I think on each of the titles it says "from acclaimed director Hayao Miyazaki"... but if moonskao says he only did the first six, then it's probably a way to get people to buy the thing, like all those "Steven Spielberg presents.." type things.

well, he made the first six, all of which are conveniently located on the first disc (well, at least 1-5).
