On the flipside, you're paying £79.99 for this privilege. I'll just wait, thank you.

Being a huge fan, price isn't an issue and i could never wait, however I have ways of getting around paying full price. and no, that doesn't involve theft of any kind!

The price is just too much,I only got into Buffy after a pal loaned me the first season on DVD but the UK prices are just too stupid to conceive.
Much better to wait because you will not only get it at half the UK price from the States but there will be additional extras,Seth Green did a commentary for season 4 DVDS a few weeks back yet that set has been available for a few months in the UK.

Is the English pound still worth about $1.60 American?

That same box set would cost us about $125-130. Even at a decent discount, it'd probably wrk out to be 80 dollars

Most places in the USA sell Season 2 for the equivalent of around 30-32 pounds.

So even if we have to wait a while for Season 5, that's quite some savings. And I'm sure we'll get 16x9 too.

well, i've been collecting the seasons from since they were released in the UK, and seasons 1 and 2 came out without even a whisper of the u.s. date, so i got in there.
Plus the presentation and packaging is superb on the UK pack.
I mean, it pulls out of a solid sleave and is a book, with lovely print and nice pictures.
And like I said, i don't pay anywhere near full price for these sets, however it wouldn't faze me if I had too, i mean they come out every 5 months here, and thats a long time to save.
Well I guess its all a matter of opinion, price, and how much of a fan you are.

I agree with that. Even though Buffy is a lot cheaper here in the States, I truthfully wouldn't find paying like $20-25 more if they would come out faster. I've been watching this show since day one (I even remember what it was like watching Welcome to the Hellmouth/the Harvest the very first time they aired) and it sucks that we have to wait so long to catch up with the rest of the world. And don't even get me started on Angel :rar: .
