Universal DVDs in Canada - DVDfile.com forum for DVD, Blu-Ray, and HD-DVD

I need to figure out where to order the 3 disk ET set from. Do the recent Universal releases in Canada have the same packaging (no English/French covers) and extras as the USA versions?

Although, I haven't seen the canadian cover of ET, I do know that those pricks at Alliance Atlantic distribute Universal DVDs in Canada. So, I would think there would be a bilingual cover (both english & french) for ET as well. I have no idea what the extra-terrestrial is in french. But I'm sure it will make the cover and the spine of the disc set and, of course, the description on the back cover will also be bilingual. If the packaging is a 3 disc gatefold made of cardboard, Alliance may continue their trend of setting the disc in cheap ass plastic DVD holders as they did for both Pulp Fiction and Jackie Brown. These things barely keep the DVD in place because they're so flimsey.

Personally, I don't mind seeing some french on the covers, its usually not that intrusive. But I do object to the trend in cheap packaging. The plastic DVD holders in PF & JB were atrocious.

If this trend continues with Alliance, I'll be taking my business south of the border.
