Definitely Monsters Inc. and I'm seriously considering Frailty. I really want The Civil War but due to the price of the set it will probably have to wait until my birthday in a few weeks.

These will have to wait until I return from hols but these are on my list --

Grease
Monsters, Inc. (2-Disc Special Edition)
Panic Room (SuperBit)
Snatch (2-Disc SuperBit)
Keith Jarrett/Gary Peacock/Jack DeJohnette: Standards #2

I was going to get the R2 The Young Ones but they are only getting season sets and no box set -- I still can't work out how the BBC decide to release stuff So I'll get the R1 set... I hope they don't drop the ball by not including the original music performances, the Beeb has a tendency to dislike paying for music licences but fingers x.

and I have the R2 disc of Father Ted (on the series 2 disc) but I can heartily recommend this to anyone who likes a laugh -- "I understand it's Ireland's largest lingerie department"

Monsters, Inc. is my only purchase this week (at Best Buy, of course, for the always wicked-awesome price of $15.99.) I'd like The Mask of Zorro Superbit, but funds are limited and Disney/Pixar wins out.

On a seperate note, those of you planning on picking up Grease sadly won't be able too just yet. Shortly after its inital announcement for 9/17, it was delayed by Paramount for unknown reasons until one week later on 9/24. It's a shame, but after five years of waiting for this one, can your old VHS can last just one more week? In any case, I'll be picking it up next week on DVD. Hopefully Best Buy will have their kickass $15.99 price tag attached, or maybe even lower cause it's a single-disc edition. Doubt it, but hey, one can dream, can't he?

Probably just Monsters, Inc. and 24 here, but I really want to see Frailty, so I may give it a rent.

Reading pdjennings plans for the week always makes me feel so ... inadequate.

The Civil War is all for this week.

May pick up Monsters, Inc. later. Also might rent at least the first 24 disk, just to see if it grabs me.

Also, someone should be buying me 24 Season 1 for my birthday, so I'll hold off on that.

You know, gotta let other people buy the more expensive sets for me. :p

24 is blind -- going to try and watch it with the girlfriend, but I know she'll take too long and I'll get too impatient and watch it in a couple of long marathons or something stupid.

Also, I'm wary of Panic Room double dipping, but I feel more & more that's just the way it is these days...

Uh.....just a heads up here. But the shop that I buy at has it sitting on it's shelf right now!!!!!!!! They put 3 copies of Grease :widescreen and 8 copies of Grease: fullscreen last tuesday.

Only problem is.....they are charging $29.99 each. Still......plenty left on the shelf. So I think it's safe to say that Grease will be released on 9/17.

Will eventually (but not immediately) buy:
The Long Goodbye

Will eventually try to rent:
Frailty - might turn out to be a purchase if I like it
Kissing Jessica Stein
Hollywood Ending
Death to Smoochy

I loved 24 when I first watched it on FOX, but I don't see myself rewatching it now that all suspense would be lost.

And I'll definitely wait for a Panic Room SE. I'm sure it'll come eventually. I can wait.
