Brian De Palma's Blow Out in 3-D?
For any of you older movie fans who remember when DePalma's
Blow Out was in theatres (1981 to be exact), was it ever at anytime shown in 3-D? My friend insist that it was, and I say it wasn't. Even though I was eleven at the time, I have no re-collection of this movie being in 3-D even for a limited release. |

The listing at imdb.com does not indicate it was ever shown in 3-D.
I did see it in theatres myself, and it was regular 2-D. I recall it quite vividly too! I was 14. ![]()

...ahh... Jaws 3-D was in 3D, Friday The Thirteenth Part III was in 3D, Andy Warhol's Flesh For Frankenstein was in 3D, even Alfred Hitchcock's Dial M For Murder was in 3D ... but, no... Brian De Palma never made a 3D movie... you win, your friend loses!

I once saw a Dinosaur movie in a DVD shop that came with 3-D glasses... it looked like it had really crummy CG, though, so i kinda avoided it. I think it was made by Discovery/TLC, but don't hold that against me.
I'm sure there are a few niche 3-D Imax movies that are 3-D, but again, this is just an educated guess. |
