Strange Scorpion King Case

I just got the Scorpion King DVD & the case has 2 strange locking mechanisms on the side that opens. I've never seen it before. What's up with that?

Don't know, did you get the 2 disk version? My single disk is your run of the mill case.

I almost assumed that it was just another AMARAY/ALPHA-type case; if I did, I would have broken both tabs. It's different, I'll give them that. Still, I think it's overkill.

I got the single disc widescreen from Walmart. You have to unhook 2 tabs on the side before you can open the case. I'm at work or I'd post a pic.

Mine is in a amaray type keep case but no vendor name is imprinted. Mine works fine. The center tab is 6 pronged and looks like an asterisk.

I really despise those fly-by-night DVD case companies.

I got mine from Wal Mart, and it too has those two little lock tabs on it. I don't know why they added those on there.

It almost sounds like a new stlye case to make disc theft harder, I've been in Best Buy before and seen several discs that look like they were slit on the side and the discs were stolen. The latches would make theft just a little harder.
