This is without a doubt THE most underrated/unfairly-criticized comedy of the year.
It's very interesting that Sando gets bashed for doing the complete opposite of what Jim Carrey does (overacting) and is often criticized for.

The DVD is of course a 'must have', even for everyone who can't handle Sandusky, to bathe in the genius of John"Jesus Quintana"Turturro in another hands-to-the-floor performance.

It was more "grown up" than Billy Madison and just a better movie than Water boy, I think if you've enjoyed an Adam Sandler movie in the past you'll enjoy this one. I don't think I'll pick it up this week, but I probably will sometime down the road.

I was disappointed with Steve Buscemi's little role, but John Turturro stole the show with his sneakiness

I'm so glad I saw this in the theater when Reign of Fire was sold out (which I saw the next day and didn't care too much about), because I otherwise wouldn't have given this one a chance. I like Sandler alright. I don't really like The Waterboy or Big Daddy though.

This is a really fun movie. And Riedenschneider is right - Turturro helped this flick tremendously. I'll wait to buy it, but I still liked it a lot.

This was a really nice movie. I'm a fan of Sandler's early stuff (Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore), but haven't liked any of his more recent stuff, so I didn't know what to expect going into Mr Deeds. I was glad I saw it and will probably pick it up.

Well here's the dvd review from IGN DVD He really hated the movie. I too didn't like the movie but i think a 2 was a little harsh. I would of given it at least a 4 Chances are though i will eventually buy it when its pre-viewed at a nice cheap price.

I enjoyed Mr. Deeds, but I have to say the original was much better. Mr. Deeds Goes to Town starring Gary Cooper and directed by Frank Capra is a classic. Check it out.
