Pavement: Slow Century - Where to get?

I was flipping through the Sunday newspaper sales inserts to check out the Tuesday releases and their prices and Pavement's Slow Century disc was not featured in any. Granted, Pavement is/was an indie band, but it is/was one with a following.

This is supposed to be a stacked release (one I've been waiting forever for) so I thought it would see wide distribution and would be fairly easy to find. Now, I'm thinking I won't be able to locate a copy on Tuesday.

Anyone seen it at any stores yet or know where it will likely be on the shelves?

I also can't wait to get the Slanted & Enchanted CD re-release!

Thanks all,

Walt

Pavemnet disc

Picked up the Pavement dvd today and it is great. All their videos, alternate videos, long documentary, two live shows, and a bunch of extras.

I picked mine up at an indepedent dvd/cd store. But I am sure that Best Buy, Borders etc will have a copy or two. I paid $19, but I think it lists for $24.

edmint, I'm jealous! Is the documentary a career-spanning thing or more about the end of the group? And how's that concert footage?

Thanks for the info!

I'm really looking forward to getting this, too.

My usual DVD retailer doubles as an indie record store, so I figure they'll probably get it in. A good idea might be to check out any indie rock retailers around you; most likely, if they order CDs and records from Matador, they'll order a copy of Slow Century, too.

I'll have to order it off of the internet because I doubt any of the stores around me will get it in. Maybe one of the music stores in the mall. If they have a good price on it I'll pick it up there.

Walt,
The documentary covers the whole career, but I have only watched the first few minutes. The concert footage comes from two show :Seattle July 99 that has 19 songs and from Nov 99 7 songs from Manchester. I watched a few songs of the Seattle gig and it was good. The stuff in between the video clips is great to. With two discs and all the stuff on it... well that is the way to do music discs. I have no doubt you will enjoy!!

i love Pavement, but seeing them in concert were by far the most boring shows i have ever seen (on par with appleseed cast, great songs, boring live), and i saw them 5 times, but watching them on HBOs reverb was much cooler, so im still debating on whether picking up this dvd.
