"The Last Don": Any good?
I saw it in the store today and was wondering if anybody has seen it and could give me their thoughts. I can't seem to find out much about it on the web other than what imdb has.
Thanks

I like to refer to The Last Don as "The Godfather Lite."
I have only seen the edited, two-and-a-half hour version, not the full-length version that's on the DVD. It's interesting enough to hold your attention, but IMO, it's got some pretty serious plot holes. For example:
I also have some issues with some of the characters. Daryl Hannah and Kirstie Alley are supposed to be playing tragic heroines, but that doesn't make them any less irritating. But in the end, it's a good, compelling story, and the DVD is baout $25 and contains the full four hours. I would call that getting your money's worth.
