Larry Sanders Show Season 2 - heard anything about this? - DVDfile.com forum for DVD, Blu-Ray, and HD-DVD

I love the first season and it's probably my most watched DVD. Has anyone heard anything about when/if HBO will release Season 2?

Nothing yet. TVShowsOnDVD.com - which I write reviews for - has found no official word on Season 2 for either that OR All In The Family yet. Columbia's position is "we won't even start a rumor about a title until we're ready to officially announce it". My intuition says that word on these two would come after the first of the new year at the earliest.

In the meantime, I should point out that they may be too busy putting out Season 1 sets to take time to do any season 2's yet. Besides this week's Mad About You, word has leaked to the press that they are next going for Good Times (already at Columbia House, like AitF was prior to its season-set release), then Charlie's Angels and SWAT (to coincide with the new films of these properties), and Married With Children.

I am immensely happy about the last one! I've long been a Bundy fan. But I personally hope that Larry Sanders gets a second season pretty soon here!

I haven't gotten Larry Sanders yet, but I do have my eye on it.

Also, Married With Children is a funny show I watched all the time when I was a kid, but I don't know if I'd buy it...?

Columbia has started releasing 1st seasons of like 10 different shows and doesnt seem interested in continuing them. I had a feeling they whould do this. BY the time the last season of larry comes out dvd will be substandard format and everything will be on hd dvd.

Maybe sales figures show that most people only buy one season? Maybe that's why we still haven't seen Twin Peaks Two? Anyone able to compare X-Files Season One sales to Season Five?
