DVD cases lost, now what?
I was wondering if anyone has any helpful info for me.
Recently I was relieved of a great number of my DVD cases(long story); but since I keep all of my discs in a CD wallet(actually 2 CD wallets), I still have the really important parts. However I miss the cases and was wondering how I can go about replacing them. All of the titles in my profiler are homeless discs, and only the discs I have bought recently are the cases I have left. Thanx

You can buy cases at http://inetdvd.com/store/cases.asp
Then you can print up cover art from various site. Someone else can help you there. |

This site has DVD covers .. some good, some bad, many in other languages unfortunately.
Also, (if you haven't already) you could pay for DVD profiler to get higher quality cover scans that might print OK .. no spines though. |

DV-Depot sells DVD cover art. Sometimes they only have custom covers (different than on the the disc traditionally), but they are professional quality.
Also, if you use cdcovers.cc, make sure to print the covers on glossy paper.

Since the chances of you being able to find copies of all your covers on-line, and purchasing new cases for all of them might be expensive, I think the best solution would be to hunt down whoever took your cases and kill them, KILL THEM, then bring them back home.
If you simply lost them without any thieving, simply ask Satan to bring them back to you. He's usually in a bad mood when I talk to him but there's no better way to achieve these sorts of things. The most realistic thing might be to wait for www.dvdcoverart.com to come back. It's down right now but I hear it will return, and they have shitloads of covers. |

I was just wondering if anyone knows how to get replacement Snapper cases, at least the plastic part of them?
I have a couple that are broken from a move, and just had the thought that maybe I could swap the carboard part with intact casings. I'm imaging that Warner control all snappers and wouldn't provide such a service, but if I don't ask, I won't find out! |

Replace a snapper case? Oh the insanity!
I highly doubt Warner has any extra snappers hanging around, especially for sale. Snappers are cheap (or very close to trash) to begin with and storing boxes of empty snappers doesn't seem like it would be a profitable enterprise. |

forget your snappers, find the art and just buy keep cases to but them in, then take that cardboard and use it as the dvd insert

I thought about DVDepot, but replacing 100+ cases gets quite costly. Plus, there's the added snafu about multi-disc sets(such as The Simpsons: Season one which has a fold out custom case), or other custom cases(such as T2: UE metal case and Total Recall: SE in the case that looks like Mars). not to mention the booklets, which I like. And the person who might have them is 1600 miles away, so tracking them down is out of the question since I have no car. It saddens me that I have to start from scratch in the cases department; and that so many of my DVDs are now homeless.
But at least I can still watch the movies themselves.

Try www.shop4tech.com -- 100 cases for 29.95. True, they have weird little spindles that take some practice getting the disks ON, but the disks come off smoothly and the spindles don't look like they'll start losing sprockets anytime soon. And they're a LOT better than snappers.
