I just watched this movie and highly recomend it. Very quirky and much in the style of the Coen Brothers "mystery" movies. I don't want to give away any of the plot since I went in knowing nothing more than the tagline.

edited:I should add that most of the talk about this movie is about it's ties to MacBeth (and some obvious ones at that) but to be honest, I don't care about that.

<--- IKEA seal of approval.

Thanks for the IKEA seal of approval!
I was interested in eventually seeing this film after reading the reviews during its very short theatrical run. It has a nice cast and sounds quirky... both good things.
I'll be on the lookout to rent iot sometime.

I saw this movie in the theater last spring and absolutely loved it. My #2 movie of the year so far. I highly recommend it.

I cannot however highly recommend the DVD. I picked it up this morning, after searching at four different stores, and popped it in my player. This is one awful DVD. The video quality is about half a step above VHS quality. It's non-anamorphic widescreen and it's only a single layer disc. Also, they've dropped the 5.1 surround mix of the original theatrical release in favor of a 2.0 mix.

And another thing: there's absolutely no subtitle options and the closed captions advertised on the package don't work. This sucks.

Showtime Entertainment really dropped the ball on this release of a great movie. If I didn't love the movie, I'd take it back on the grounds that the captions don't work. They don't even work on my laptop in PowerDVD and that always displays captions with no problem.

Great film, craptastic DVD.
