Which Butthead?

I would love to get some Beavis and Butthead on DVD. I see the Time/Life stuff and looks good, but I also know "History of B&B" will be out soon. Should I get one over the other or both? Any recommendations would be great.

The "History of B&B" was indefinately delayed, so I wouldn't expect it anytime soon. You can probably still get it on EBAY for $250 or so.

Thanks for your help. I guess I will get the Time/Life since patience isn't a virtue I have.

There is NO repeated material between the Time-Life set and the History of set. The History set has episodes that have never been released on video before.

I can't wait until next week. I ordered the Time-Life set after seeing the commercial and realizing that I need to have that important part of my adolescence in my collection. I'll also be picking up the LoTR: EE and AOTC next week. Should be a fun weekend next weekend providing my back spasms go away.

But I still can't wait to see B&B again. It's been a long time. Hopefully the Time-Life set will include the full intro as well.

Ain't gonna happen, just like DVD releases of WKRP and Miami Vice will never happen. The people who own the music rights know what they've got, and they want a LOTTA cash to part with the digital rights to this stuff.

Fox and Universal have to deal with the latter two, but Paramount owns B&B...and they've already gotten reamed on the Grease thing. They're unwilling to do that again, I betcha!
