Spirited Away Release Date?

Does anyone know the release date for this title on DVD? Is it coming out before Christmas or is it a first quarter release?

Lawsuit issues

Disney is apparently being sued over copies of SA that have a serious red imbalance. Fun, slightly off-topic fact.

I heard 2004 at the earliest. That is when the original studio in Japan gets their licence rights back for the videos and Disney is waiting for a simultaneous release. Again, this is just what I read elsewhere a while back. Can't say for certain.

There's a nice Region 3 release of it already, and if you can't wait, I recommend picking it up. Though most of the content is in Japanese or Cantonese, it DOES have an excellent DTS ES 6.1 soundtrack. But as theta said, the transfer has this red tint that is prevalent throughout the movie.
I'm not sure of the quality of the English subtitles, though. I heard they're pretty literal and quite good and easy to follow.

Red tint example:

I have the excellent Region 2 PAL 2 disc set. I didn't notice a red tint, but I'll have to check it again to make sure.

The subtitles are fine and the sound is quite good (could be the same as the Region 3).

Hmm, also there seems to be something wrong with the screenshot from the DVD.
You miss one of Chichiro´s socks and part of her knee. Is the DVD cropped or something like that?.

Yeah, the shot from the DVD looks cropped. It actually looks like it was reformated or something. Is the aspect ratio the same in the trailer as it is on the DVD?

I think it might just be the screenshot. I didn't take them myself, so I wouldn't know. I'm pretty sure they wouldn't crop the DVD like that.
