Superman Trailer
http://www.apple.com/trailers/wb/superman.html
This was the pretty cool looking 2001 trailer that was put out for the film's re-issue in theaters prior to the SE DVD. The re-issue never happend outside a few select towns, but I love this trailer, but it's not on the SE DVD. Anyone have any Warners/other trailer discs that has this in good quality? I just like it!

I was equally dissapointed that this trailer wasn't on the disc.(it was actually one of the first things i checked when i got my disc) It's a minor complaint though on my behalf, I'm just glad the first movie got the treatment it deserved.

That was pretty good, thanks for the link.
I live in L.A. and I never saw ANYTHING about a re-release of this movie ... I doubt it came here, so what cities was it released in??? Now I'm pissed. If it doesn't come to Los Angeles, then where? |

It played in Houston. I saw it and it was good.
![]() I don't think that I have ever seen this trailer before though. I'll try downloading it later, but I don't like downloading from apple.com because they usually don't let you save the video to your hard drive. |

Ok, that clip has a little bit of one of my all-time favorite scenes...it's at the end of the trailer where after taking Lois out of the car Superman lets out that godly yell. I get shivers EVERY SINGLE TIME I see that scene...amazing. Have that affect on anyone else?

I just love the film, and love this trailer.
It really does present it as a new film, and it looks like a great new film, too! The music, the voice over - it's enough to get me to watch it again. And the line "take flight: Spring 2001" works very well. Shame this didn't get a wide release, and a real shame this trailer wasn't on the disc.

My roommate and I for some odd reason always will watch Superman 2 when it's on cable-even though we own the box set.
Something about the battle scene in the middle of the city. It's amazing- and hilarious. If you watch closely there are a few glitches here and there. One eerie thing is when the supervillains are chasing Superman around the bridge area, there is one brief scene where Superman flies upward from the bottom of the screen (I think) and for a split second you DONT see his bottom half!! Kind of freaky condsidering Mr. Reeves current status. Also, when Superman is dialoging with the villians, it seems as though when he opens his mouth, you hear a lot of radio/static sounds while he's talking. Strange.

Superman:Se was previewed in San Antonio, Texas. iwas there. i saw it. It was really cool to watch it on the big screen.
not many people saw it.. they didn;t seem to care about it.. WB rather release it on dvd then in theatres. Superman did play at the egyptian theatre in August of 2001. I was also there. that crowd loved the movie. they cheered and clapped throughout the film.. it was a great expereince. JACOB the movie has played around the country at different theatres.. from time to time last year.. sorry thebat33, we frown upon using your very first post to promote a personal website. That's called Spam round these parts. -- Morticia Last edited by Morticia : 12-07-2002 at 11:36 PM. |

![]() I went and saw it near the end of it's run on a Saturday afternoon. The only people in the theater aside from my dad and I was another guy with his 2 or 3 young kids. It's too bad they didn't give the movie a wider release, more people should have experienced it. It was a great show - especially since it was my first time actually seeing the movie. ![]() |

It was never shown in LA. They previewed it in some test cities, but it did so poorly that the planned nationwide release was scrapped.
I finally got the trailer to work at home on my PC. I tried it on three MACs at work, and it would not work on any of them. I hate MACs... |
