I always thought it would be great to hear Sean Connerys comments on some of the Bond movies.
It would also be nice to have some of the actors from TV sereis showing up on DVD to give their 2 cents. Shows like X-Files or Buffy or Star Trek the Orginal series and TNG. |

Living:
- Bill Murray should comment on any one of his movies (except "Osmosis Jones" or "Larger than Life"). - Jack Nicholson would be great to hear giving off-the-cuff remarks. - Gene Wilder. - Edward Norton on "American History X" - Bill Cosby could joke his way through a recording session. - Anthony Hopkins on one of his Hannibal movies (or anything else for that matter). - David Lynch. - Christopher Reeve on the "Superman" films. - Jack Black. - Adam Sandler on "Punch Drunk Love" (too early to ask for?) - Eddie Murphy. - Marlon Brando! Passed on: - Alfred Hitchcock - Charlie Chaplin - Billy Wilder - Orson Welles - Chris Farley - Walt Disney - Chuck Jones - Jack Lemmon - Marilyn Monroe - Frank Capra - Vincent Price - Ed Wood - Judy Garland - Cecil B. DeMille And the list could go on for centuries if I let it...

My first vote would be Scorcese, De Niro and Pesci doing a
group commentary for RAGING BULL and/or GOODFELLAS. Another wish I have would be to hear Al Pacino talk about some of his jobs (DOG DAY AFTERNOON, THE GODFATHER films, ...AND JUSTICE FOR ALL, etc) Hey Master Gandhi, Anthony Hopkins talks on the Criterion edition of THE SILENCE OF THE LAMBS and he is entertaining. |

It would have been great to have Hitchcock's thoughts on some of his greatest films (Vertigo, North By Northwest, Psycho). Also, it's a shame that Chuck Jones never got around to doing commentaries forhis classic Looney Toons shorts.
![]() I'd love to have Don Bluth and Gary Goldman do a commentary for The Secret Of NIMH.

Kubrick/Nicholson on Shining. I would love that.
DiCaprio/Wahlberg/Madio/Mcgaw/Kalvert on Basketball Diaries. I would LOVE to hear all their thoughts on the movie. Bale/Harron on American Psycho DeNiro/Pacino/Mann on Heat. Dear god........ Clooney/Wahlberg/Cube/Jonze/Russell on Three Kings. I would kill for those commentaries.

Stanley Kubrick, especially on The Shining, A Clockwork Orange, 2001. (just cos they're my faves)
And in the living category, James Earl Jones on the Star Wars trilogy. And if the principle actors don't do a commentary for Star Wars, I'll be peeved cos we're being kept waiting so that the DVDs can be "done properly".

Chalk up another wish for a Stanley Kubrick commentary track. *sigh* Man, just hearing this cinematic God speak is a transcendent experience on its own (since it is SO rare to hear that quiet, intimidating, slightly gruff, New York accented voice, famous for demanding hundreds of takes and for chastising Shelley Duvall). I treasure The Shining DVD greatly not only because The Shining is my favourite Kubrick film, but also because of the wonderful Vivian Kubrick documentary: The Making of The Shining (a one of a kind documentary). It is truly amazing and surreal to see this man at work. But hearing him actually discuss his genius films (the themes, complex ideas, anecdotes, etc.) on a screen-specific audio commentary track is an absolute dream that I will forever yearn for. R.I.P. Stanley.
