Ever After Reissue in January?
Bored, I was browsing at Amazon this afternoon, and happened to come upon a preorder page for Ever After: A Cinderella Story. It's been released on DVD before, and comparing the two listings, SRP remains the same. There are no specs for the one on preorder; only the trailer and a letterbox transfer are listed for the current one.
What's the difference? What's the deal? This is one of my most-wanted catalog titles on DVD. Should I wait for the reissue, or is it okay to pick it up now? Thanks.

It's probably just a price drop, BUT the rating on that page is listed as PG. When this was first released, I remember reading that the version on the DVD is PG-13, because of a swear word or two. (The VHS cut out the swearing, and was rated PG.) So, this could be the edited version, but I think it's just a price drop on the same one.
Amazon often lists price drops as new releases. Personally, I think they do it because they know people look at new and upcoming releases, and this gives them an excuse to put something that's already been available (and thus people might not know about it) in with the new releases. |
