Simpsons DVD Season Three is coming....
Yippee! Here is a post ripped from snpp.com:
In a live chat on Home Theater Forum, Peter Staddon of 20th Century Fox said that they expect to get The Complete Third Season DVD boxed set out in May 2003. "The issue with The Simpsons is that there are so many people who are involved with the DVD, and they are all incredibly busy working on the show for the network which has to take priority," Staddon explained. He also said that there is some "very cool stuff on the discs that will make season 3 much better." According to Staddon, The Simpsons is the best selling TV show on DVD.

I know it probably won't happen, but since they're talking about how creative control has a lot to do with the discs talking longer to come out than 1 season every 6 months, how about putting 2 seasons out at a time.
I know this seems like a lot. But, since a lot of the features are recycled (already made, they should all be available). They could do 2 seasons of commentary in one shot, etc. I think this should be an option when 1 Season every 3 months is not. In fact, they could even secretly do 2 at a time, and just release them 3 months apart. Anybody else think this could be possible? |

Very good news indeed!
http://www.dvdfile.com/interactive/f...threadid=25735 Looking forward to May. I really enjoyed the first 2 seasons on DVD. I'd watch each episode twice in a sitting usually (first without, then with the great commentary). |

So you would rather wait a year and get two at a time? That makes no sense. It takes six months to prepare one season, so if they do two at a time, it would take twice as long. I would prefer to keep things as they are, thanks.
It still takes time to do the commentaries and get them threw S&P. It doesn't matter if they record them all in one marathon session or at two different times, since they would still have to do all the other work invovled with putting out the DVDs, and all of that takes time |
