Collecting Vista Series?

Anyone collecting the Vista Series? So far it has been a pretty good collection of films (to me, at least, before someone jumps all over me). I don't have Pearl Harbor or Unbreakable yet, but plan to get Signs next week, and then Who Framed Roger Rabbit. I like that so far they have resisted making EVERY film a Vista Series and so they've kept it a little special and easy to collect. I'll probably get Pearl Habor when I can find it cheap, which so far, has been no such luck.

I was going to, as I think they are mostly pretty good discs, however I hate Pearl Harbor so I won't buy that one and Signs is apparently a crappy disc so I won't buy thta one either.

I have Unbreakable, Sixth Sense, and Tombstone. I will buy Roger Rabbit when that is released.

I would by Pearl Harbor except for one minor reason: it's a little expensive, and one major reason: the movie itself sucks! I know some girls who saw it about five times in theaters... it just ruins it.

I'm going to wait on Signs to see if a better release comes out (as was with Sixth Sense and Unbreakable).

I've never seen Who Framed Roger Rabbit? in it's entirity, but I'll see it soon. Then I'll consider buying the Vista Version.

Right now I own Unbreakable, Sixth Sense, and Tombstone. Those are all great sets.

I've always liked the detail Vista puts into everything their DVDs contain and the container they put the DVDs in!

I say collect what you want to collect.

Lines like Infinifilm, Vista and Ultimate Edition will never be Criterions, so I think they will not be as collectable.

So with those, make the movie all about the movie, not the line itself in my opinion.

Now Criterion is a different story. Those have a great resale value for the most part when they go OOP.

As does Superbit.

Id be mroe apt to collect as many Superbit and as many Criterions before I went for Vista and the like.

Though I do like Vista titles better than Infini and UE if that's of any value.

i got Unbreakable, The Sixth Sense, and Tombstone all for $14.99 from Target within the past month or so. if they start to sell Pearl Harbor for the same price i might consider buying it. but then again i dont even know if i consider it a real vista cuz when i last saw it i dont remember it even having the vista logo.
but i will definetly be buying Signs Next week because i believe Best Buy has it for $14.99.
and i will be most definetly upgrading from the barebones Roger Rabbit to the Vista in March.

Lines like that don't do it for me. I buy what I want to buy and leave it at that.

My first Vista will be Roger Rabit.

Lines like the Disney Platinum Collection, however, are very special and extremely collectable. Of course, that's because I'm a Disney fanaric and happen to love all of the titles selected for it, but...I find the Platinums special.

I bought the regular Tombstone last Christmas and then they did a Vista series on it. That just completely pissed me off beyond belief.

So last week I did something very un-ethical. I took the old Tombstone to an unnamed store and said it wasn't working. Paid extra and exchanged for the Vista Tombstone.

I figured I was well within my rights to do what I did because they came out with the Vista within only a few months of me buying the regular version.

From what my friend told me it is any 2 DVDs in the store of course probably excluding multiple disk sets.

Unbreakable $14.99
and The Sixth Sense $19.99

Unicorn will probably have more info on the 2 for $25 deal because i probably dont have that down right.

I couldn't agree more.

Now I just hope it's the unedited version as it is rumored to be.

Tombstone is an awesome, awesome movie! I loved it. The gunbattle at the OK Corral was nicely done, the transfer is beautiful, the audio mix is great, and it has nice extras. It's well worth the money.

What happened to these? There hasn't been a Vista Series since Roger Rabbit in March of last year. I guess if they continue any releases with the Vista Series label, the best candidate will be The Village. It just seems strange that they would drop these. They were great packages.
