Netflix for Canada?

Is there something similar to NetFlix that is available in Canada?

I'm not sure if this is the right forum, if it's not, sorry.

nope?

hmmmm...damn.

I just ask because I mentioned that I could find the Universal DVD of Brazil to rent, but when I went back, they didn't have it to rent anymore, So i was hopping NetFlix had it, but they don't service in Canada.

Hey TwistedByDesign...

I've been using www.dvdhype.com for 2 years now. I'd recommend them -- I just wish their turnaround mail time to the west coast was a little better (they are based out of Quebec).

I've also heard about www.rentadvd.ca.

Cheers!

See, cause there is a DVD rental thing, specifically for parts of Montreal, hell they even have it that you can get fresh hot pizza, and cokes, chips, whatever you want, but the problem is that I live 2 blocks from the area where they deliver.

I ran across this one back when I was searching for Netflix alternatives about a year ago.

http://www.hollywebdvd.com/

I don't know much about them other than they're based in Alberta, Canada. Just another option to consider if you're going to do a comparison.

Netflix seems like a neat thing, I don't rent and I don't think I will start anytime soon either. Although I think it would be a smart idea for them to come into Canada

Thought I might throw my hat in the ring. Was reading the forums and since I run a dvd rental site in Canada, it caught my eye. It is already mentioned above (rentadvd.ca). We try to ensure that we have the best and widest selection of titles of any site in Canada. Come on by if you are interested.

Sorry if this breaks rules about advertising but others had already mentioned my site.

Cheers

Mark

Great Idea....

I've been travelling this summer (bad for these types of services) but I was going to register for the aforementioned service this fall and do a direct comparison of the two...

OK.............

How about the equivalent of 1 free month, over a 12 month period. For example, sign up for the 3-DVD plan @ $23 and get a $2 monthly discount. Sign up for the 5-DVD plan @ $35 and get a $3 monthly discount.

To get your discount, enter the following referral code when registering:

DVDFILE

Any questions, let me know.

Cheers

Mark

lol, I was just joking. We have a place in town that rents new releases for 2.50 and oldies for a bit over a buck. I'll sure keep you guys in mind when I move out though.
