If you could only own 1 dvd what would it be?

Got into this discussion tonight if you could only pick one dvd to own what would it be? Sets or seasons do not count. Mine would be The Godfather

So many good lessons there: Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.

This question is EVIL!

I'd have to say Night of the Living Dead: ME version since it's basically my favorite movie.

Carl Sagan's Cosmos

This set was one of my inspirations for buying a DVD player in the first place.

I'd pick my favorite movie of all time, Aladdin, which will finally reach DVD in October 2004 as a Disney Platinum Edition. Disney's just being evil by making us wait that long, but it'll be worth it.

(Oh, there's a big suprise. I think I'm going to have a heart atack and die from that suprise. Look at this, look at this, I'm so ticked off I'm molting!)

But the Godfather movies are only available as a set. Does this mean you'd make a special provision for them?

Anyway, The Godfather is my choice too. Didn't even need to think about it.

Hard Boiled: Criterion Collection. I could probably never stop watching that movie. (or any other good Yun-Fat HK movie; The Killer, Bullet in the Head, A Better Tomorrow, etc, I'd take either of them)

And if OOP doesn't count, I'd go with Shiri. That movie is so damn fun to watch. (and Kim Yoon-Jin is oh so hot in it)

This could also be one of those "stuck on an island" questions. I would prolly pick the Lord of the Rings: EE. It'll keep me busy!

Goodfellas for me too. I'll even live with the flipper until it's rereleased.

The FOTR extended edition for me as well. With four commentary tracks and two disks of extras, this one would keep me coming back for ages. Makes my mouth water for TTT and ROTK as well.

Even though it's not out....The Monster Squad. Other then that, I think I would have to pick Jaws...or maybe the special edition of Memento...even though I don't think I could watch the movie that many times, getting to the point to actually watch the movie would probably take me a while

Can it be a Blu-Ray disc with 10 movies archived to it?

No? Okay, I'll say Moulin Rouge then.

LOTR - FOTR EE

It would take you about 24 hours to go through the film and all supplemental materials. I'd say you get your money's worth.

I would go back to Laser Disc then.

Hmmm I guess my one DVD would be an interactive porno.

Really though, I guess I wouold go with the Lord of the Rings EE. It's the best DVD technology has given us, and a true collector's item.

well, if I were stuck on an island with only 1 dvd, it would be "How to get off an island in 3 easy steps - the collector's edition".

But if you're suggesting that we would be living in a distopian society, where only 1 dvd per household were allowed - it would have to be Blade Runner (the one that's not out yet, i would hope)

or a reallly long porno
