Stargate: Ultimate Edition specs

I don't think the announcement has been posted yet on any DVD site (that I've checked), and I've searched the forums for any previous post on it and found nothing on it, so this is probably new news to most of us. I saw this on Amazon.com, looks pretty good.

No, no there isn't. You are a silly, silly man Mr. Von Daniken.

anyway, the box looks pretty neat, I guess. DTS should be cool though.

Yeah, we all know they used the Martian ships to get around. That guy's just a quack.

I'm really glad I held off this long on getting this movie, considering it has always been one of my favorites. Saw it three times in the theater! Anyway, that packaging looks great! Hope it's not too limited.

Other than those little interviews and some behind the scenes stuff, it doesn't seem too different from the previous special edition, minus DTS, which I can't take part in anyway, I think I'll hold on to my current copy.

Aren't the previous DVDs non-anamorphic? I haven't watched mine in so long, I can't remember..

At long last, rewarded once again for not buying the inferior version! Awesome post, that packaging looks great!

And, yes, the previous versions were non-animorphic, and crap looking. My boss loaned me his copy and he was all talking about how good it looked. Ugh, nasty, is all I can say.

I knew when I bought this title about a year ago on DVD they would release a better edition and now I will be buying it again. And I agree also the cover art looks great.

This is one of those films that I really like, but I have no idea why. The story is trite, the "science" is really off (even for a sci-fi movie), and there are plot holes galore. Still, I find myself enjoying it everytime I see it, so there ya go.

I got this as a freebe when I got my first DVD player, and it's one of those that you have to flip. Hate it. I'm glad this one is coming out. Definetly will be picking it up.

I'm glad you can get it for under $15. When I bought the SE it was about $30. Progress is great.

I've had the original director's cut since it came out, so I don't feel bad about getting this new release.

I think a few of the major studios (cough almost all of them cough) should learn a thing or two from Artisan about good cover art.

heh, me two. I have the two LD, but I never bothered with the DVD. Looks like I'll be able to put the LDs to bed now.
