Dillinger...saw this on AMC this weekend, and was VERY impressed with the cast, and the gunfight scenes. Great shoot em up, with an attitude !

I ordered the exact same thing the other day. Did you do the buy them together and get them at a lower cost at blackstar.co.uk?

Purchased locally was the Legend: Ultimate Edition and a friend just gave me a copy of The Wicker Man: Limited Edition Box.

It's been a great week.

I walked into a Hollywood Video on Friday to discover their 3 for $33 sale.

I picked up Igby Goes Down, Road to Perdition, and the 2-Disc of Stephen King's The Shining.

All previous rentals of movies I loved and, upon close inspection, remarkable condition for used discs.

The Transporter .. somewhat disappointing toward the end. I found Shu Qi to be very annoying throughout .. and the oil fight in the bus depot was just silly!

Just got The Manchurian Candidate and Nightmare on Elm Street Part 2. I'm on a horror kick which is why I got Part 2. Manchurian Candidate (excellent film, okay DVD) was on sale at the local super market for 7 bucks so I couldn't pass it up.

I kinda liked the 'oil fight'. It just felt different to me from the usual crap in action movies these days, and at least, as far as I can remember, I've never seen anything like that. Yeah, it was silly, but that's kinda what I liked about it.

And getting back to the thread's subject matter, my FLCL Volume 3 w/box just came in!!! Now I can't wait to get home and watch it!!!!

I bought a crapload:

FLCL Vol. 3
Spun (Unrated)
Mars Attacks! (FINALLY.)
Barton Fink
Omishi Magical Theater Risky Saftey Vol 1. (What can I say? I love cutesy series about a cutsey grim reaper who is cute, but demands you kill yourself so she can steal your soul.)

The Animatrix-Complete DVD and CD Album Collection

King of Bandit Jing (anime) - Vol. 1 with set box.
^on this
I really wanted some new anime out there, and this is the only volume of the 13 episode series out so far. Since I also like series that don't run for a million episodes (Dragonball Z, Pokemon, Gundams, etc.), the 13 episode span is good. And apparently the music, animation, and story are all good and fun. I'm going to watch it tonight.

Oh, and I saw the Animatrix set with the soundtrack htat both came inside a slipcase. I'd avoided buying Animatrix for quite some time, so i went ahead and bought it when I saw I wouldn't have to look at the snapper all the time.
