I forgot about the excellent Target sale, so I had to go back out to get "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman" - Season 1.

How much was it?

My last purchases were:
"Star Trek Nemesis" 2-disc
Killer Cult Classics 4-pack - "The Brain that Wouldn't Die", "The Wasp Woman", "Teenagers From Outer Space" and "The Killer Shrews".

$18.88 at Target. They have a bunch of Warner Brothers TV sets on sale for that price.

For me:

Those fuckers at Target were good enough to cut a big hole in the slip cover to expose the UPC. and I was too lazy to grab it anywhere else

For the wife:

She gets GG season 1 now, the others for X-mas.

Not just Target, I had the same problem at Best Buy. It does suck.

To make matters worse, I crumpled the slip cover up and threw it away before I noticed how crappy the cover looks in white.

I think all the stores perform that snip job now. I can't remember the last slip cover I got that wasn't cut up. Maybe it was The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou.

I've seen slip covers that had holes cut out for the UPC or they'd put like a sticker that had the UPC symbol on it.

Some of the slip covers I have just have the printed UPC on it. The majority of them have another UPC label covering the printed one. This is the first time I've gotten one that was snipped and I can't say I'm a fan of it.

Its going to be an expensive month but the last two Dvd's I bought were Flirting with Disaster and Oldboy. Oldboy is a blind buy for me, I saw it for a very good price and all the good reviews that I heard I had to pick it up.

I actually bought 2 of these. One for a coworker and one for me. He throws out all of his cases and just keeps the discs (long story), but I can’t bear to have nice packaging thrown out, so now I have 2 boxes for this season. I know, I know...I'm a lunatic, but that’s ok though because it’s AD!

I don't believe the holes in the slipcases are done by the stores. This is more common these days so people don't just slide the slip cover over a move expensive DVD or game and pay whatever the slip covered DVD price was.

As for my most recent purchases:
ER: Season 2 and Wonder Woman: Season 2 for $16.99 each at Meijer.
