I'm hoping my copy will be arriving tomorrow or Monday the latest - I've been waiting a long time for the set, which is typical, because I really wanna watch them

Anyways, today I picked up my AniMatrix gift set edition, and I'll be watching it in a few mins at work.

I grabbed Tigerland out of the $5.88 bargin bin at Wal-Mart the other night. I had never seen it and hadn't heard much about it so my expectations weren't that high, but I actually ended up being quite impressed with the film. I liked the grainy gritty style of the picture and thought it had a good story and actually a damn good performance from Colin Farrell, definatley worth my $6.

It's very grainy because they shot it on 16mm film. It works perfectly for this movie and I think it's an excellent film. Definitely worth more than the $5.88 you paid for it.

I know this is sorta off-topic, but is The Hot Chick any good, cisco1959? I've been thinking about buying it, but no one I know has seen the movie, so I can't get an opinion from anyone. I haven't seen it myself, but I do know it got mixed reviews while playing in the theaters last Christmas.

Thanks!

Alfred Hitchcock's Bon Voyage & Aventure Malgache - two 30 minute French shorts that Hitchcock made in 1944 to benefit the British war effort. I'm looking forward to watching them. Can't get enough Hitchcock.

I was meaning to pick up Comedian today, but I didn't get around to it. Now I'm debating how much replay value it has. I really liked it in the theater, but it's not something I think I'll watch over and over again. I would like to view the extra features so maybe I'll just rent it from Netflix.

I just got back from town, where I picked up the following:

Miller's Crossing (Region 1)

Barton Fink (Region 1)

Bowling for Columbine (Region 2)

Adaptation (Suberbit - Region 1)

and, 25th Hour (Region 1)

I wanted to pick up This Boys Life, but the guy I get my DVDs from hadn't had any copies of it in yet, so I'll hopefully be picking that one up on Saturday.
