?Donnie Darko SE?

I heard a rumor about a SE for Donnie Darko to be released on 2/4 but I just thought that was the official date for the price drop. But then on Best Buy's website they're selling two versions of Donnie Darko. One for $9.99 and one for $12.99 and it says the $12.99 one is expected in stores 2/4.What is this?Sorry I couldn't provide a link.

it's already a packed dvd, what more could they do?

since i was a late adopter of the format, i haven't yet been "double-dipped" on a release. sounds like this might be my first!

Well if it is a re-release I hope the picture quality will be better. I am fine with the current disc and didn't notice anything horribly bad.

I've read some reviews (can't remember where) and they mentioned how awful the picture quality was. Now when I watch it, I notice how dark the overall film is. I always thought that was the intent of the director so it doesn't bother me. Just curious to see what the disc would look like if the improvements were made according to what the reviewer said.

Aside from that, I am not sure what they would include on the disc as extra features since the current one is pretty loaded. Still they may surprise us and that would be cool because 'there would be so much to look forward to."

okay, according to this it looks like the differences are...

-IFC "anatomy of a scene"
-interviews

-sexy beast
-joy ride
(i guess these are just trailers for these movies? which really makes no difference to me.)

also it sounds like maybe they gave separate commentaries to richard kelly and jake gyllenhaal instead of having them do one together? i'm not sure.

these are really small differences but maybe they figured since the film has gotten such a cult following they should try to capitalise on it.

speaking of this dvd, i wanted to rip some of the concept art stills out - basically to save them as jpgs. anyone recommend a good ripping software for this?

tattoos

while we're on the subject, anyone have any dd tattoos? i've been into piercings for years but never got any ink because i was never into anything enough to get it on my body forever, but i'm thinking of doing a silhouette of the frank head or something - if anyone has a link to any pics please share.
