Wierd Music Question on Shawshank Redemptin

I just got done watching the Shawshank Redemption and I noticed something. Not to give any of the movie away (Lke who hasnt seen this movie yet anyway) but there is a part where Tim Robbins uses a rock to bust through a pipe. Is it me or is the music playing at that time the same music that is used in one of the trailors for Lord of the Rings. I could swear it is the same. Has anyone else noticed this?

I don't believe so. The main song being played during the trailers for Lord of the Rings is a re-orchestrated version of one of the tracks from the score of Requiem for a Dream. Very well done, and actually was re-orchestrated specifically for the trailer.

Actually, this was done only for the trailers for TTT and not FOTR.

Sorry, I thought it was implied that I meant the recent LOTR movie.

It's pretty common to use music from one film for the trailers of another. The score is one of the last things done on most films, and on the really big films, the trailers are prepared months before the film is ready for release.

Absolutely Chris...

But for the Requiem remix, the reorchestration that was done was made exclusively for the Two Towers trailer and has never been done before--it's actually quite unusual...

That's certainly an interesting take. I've never seen Requiem and don't remember the music from the Two Towers trailer, but I want to compare the music now.
