Aquaria, the first DVD-18, cancelled? - DVDfile.com forum for DVD, Blu-Ray, and HD-DVD

The first dvd-18, Aquaria, has been delayed a couple of times. I just went to dvdexpress, and the title has been removed. Usually, when a title has been postponed, it can still be found, with the information that the title date release has yet to be determined. I did a search for it there though, and the results came back that no title of that name can be found. UGG.

Does anyone know if this title has been canceled, and what does that mean for the future of dvd-18?

Any help is greatly appreciated

For those who may have read this and had no answer, but wondered, Aquaria has been postponed to 11/2. Hopefully, this will be the first of many dvd-18s, soon to follow.

Hopefully, the 'other' DVD 18 discs will have more interesting content - 8 hours of pictures showing fish swimming around, accompanied by 'new-age' music, isn't exactly what most of us have been waiting for with bated breath...

I think it'd be swell (unless it's too pricey). I think this would turn out to be the must-own disc for people with those 40" Toshiba widescreen sets. it seems like a cool idea to me. again as long as its not to pricey.

How long until they release the inevitable "Fireplace" DVD? Hopefully it will be multi-angle. Winter is coming...

Artisan wins the prize next week with the first movie released on a DVD-18, the long-awaited dual-sided, dual-layered special edition of The Stand. The whole six-hour Stephen King miniseries is presented on a single disc. As I held the disc in my hands last night, I flashed back to the first RSDL movie on disc, also released by Artisan (then LIVE Entertainment) of Terminator 2. Artisan should be proud to be on the cutting edge of important DVD features."
