I rent there and have no complaints. Any title that's in print is available for rent. They also rent NC-17 and unrated titles, which isn't usually the case at Blockbuster. Also, under the marque program each dvd comes to 3.98 each (that includes shipping)with no due date to return them. That means no late fees, which I always seem to rack up at blockbuster. The only down side is that it takes about four days for the DVDs to arrive. Personally, I'll never go back to blockbuster, except to buy used movies.

I went to blockbuster last night and checked out their DVD selection and it seems to grow more than the last time I was there. So, I picked up the corruptor (Two thumbs down can't even finish it ) I didn't know that they charge 4 dollars a movie now. I can get the same movie at Hollwood video with a dollar cheaper. Now I'm really thinking of joining Netflix.

I kind of look at it by the gas money and late fees I save. Where I live, it cost 3.56 to rent a DVD at Hollywood or Blockbuster. To me the 40 cents is worth it not to drive up there and back. Plus I like having the ablility to choose what I want to watch. Instead of having big brother Blockbuster/Hollywood deciding for me by not stocking unrated or NC-17 movies.

I'm surprised no one else has responded to this topic.. I guess I'm the only one here who rents at Netflix.

I've been debating. You know that 4 days to show up thing kinda irks. I never think that far ahead. Besides, living in an apartment (or at least these apartments.) Packages get delivered to my rental office which closes before I get home from work. So I can only go in on saturdays.

I think The Marquee program is great. Netflix never seems to out of any titles. they have 1000's of additional tittles compared to both Blockbuster and Hollywood Video. No late fees. No driving to and from. It is a great program. My titles usually arrive in two days.

A nice feature of the program is taht you can select titles ahead of time, and Netflicks will send them to you in the order you choose, as soon as you check-in any title you have rented.

The first four titles for the month are $3.98, any additional titles are only $2.98, cheaper than BB or HV.

Michah I don't think you have to be worried about not receving the packages in time. Each title is sent separately, and only the disc itself is shipped in a paper envelop with an addressed postage paid envelop included in the packaging. I now live in a house and this is not an isue for me but previously I lived in an apartment and it was a non-issue as well. If your mailbox can accept a 5" wide postcard it can accept rental packages from netflix.

I recommend this program to everyone, you should try it. If you don't like you can always cancel.

I may sound like an overly enthusiastic supporter of Netflix, however, I am in no way affiliated with them. I just think this is a cool program.

I agree, Marquee is GREAT! A lot of people complain about the 4 days thing, but if you fill your que up, and send the movies back as you watch them, you really shouldn't run out- the only real waiting period is for that first order. Unless of course you watch all four of them at once. Anyway, it works out ot be cheaper than blockbuster, and more convienient...

Well, I finally decided to join their Marquee. I rent from Netflix all the time and never been put on back order once. They seem to have 2 to 3 thousand copies of the new hit realeases (by looking at the S/N on the cover of the disc). I like the idea that I can keep it for longer than a week. This way I can finish whenever I want and always have the movies whenever I want to watch them.

As one of 4 others online who actually bought and liked the DIVX system,That meaning the carefree rental style of watch when your ready,I was very excited and joined NETFLIX this weekend largely due to the MARQUEE program.
I like to rent more than buy based on the fact that most movies dont have high replay value so this may be the viable DIVX replacement.
And a better one considering all the movies are true DVD and widescreen.
the only thing is miising is the spontanaety, but I think if you can have a good cache of movies on hand it will be worth it.

Hey, Thanks for the notes about shipping. I'm going to go to their site today and check out some minor things (like about purchasing rentals; knowing me, I'd buy everything I rent)
