Road To Perdition - DTS?

Is there a seperate DTS edition of this DVD? If so, does it lack extras? Also, what are the extras on the DD edition?

Thanks....

From what I've heard via the news sites, there will be three versions of this released: widescreen and fullscreen Dolby Digital editions and a DTS widescreen version with identical extras. I might be mistaken, though, but that's what I heard.

Negative! There will indeed be 3 different versions as Jake indicated, all with the same extras.

Im guessing it will be, like the way Universal used to do their DTS DVD's. Seperate full bit DTS tracks.

I'm really looking forward to this one. I think it'll be the first DVD I've bought since November.

Jurassic Park and The Lost World are two examples of Universal "dts discs" that have half-bitrate audio tracks. Since the disc has the same extras as the Dolby Digital version, the odds are in favor for a 754kbps audio track.

There is infact three versions of this film:
Widescreen Version
Fullscreen Version
DTS Widescreen Version

Since I only have DTS on my PS2 and not on my Laptop Computer, Xbox, PC or Protable DVD Player I will get the widescreen version since I will not be able to watch it all the time. I think that the DTS will have one less feature becuz of the DTS audio. I mean that is how Fox has done it before. But I'm not sure. I think they should just put widescreen, full screen and DTS all on one disc. Make it a two disc set. Fuck 3 diffrent versions. I think that is how they should do it!

Yeah, but DreamWorks is the one doing the DVD distribution. Fox had theatrical release rights, I think.

What's strange is that MovieTyme have just started shipping Road to Perdition, and the box art and blurb appears to show that the DVD has both a Dolby Digital 5.1 and a DTS 5.1 track...

Yet Play247 have the 3 versions available for pre-order...

Strange...

There was originally going to be just separate widescreen and pan and scan editions. Then, they decided (probably because of compression issues) to do a separate DTS edition of the widescreen version.

If you're seeing that some sites just say there are two editions (WS and P&S), it's based on the old information, and they haven't updated it yet.
