Indiana Jones

With all these rumours of the trilogy arriving this year, I thought a poll was in order.

For me, it's Crusade. I just find it the most enjoyable . It has Sean Connery, who's always entertaining, and I really like the score.

Second is Raiders. Barely a hair behind, entertainment-wise, although technically superior.

Third is Doom. Highly entertaining yet again. This used to be my favourite when I was younger. I probably wore out the tape! It would still be my favourite, if it weren't for the fact that kids piss me off now.

Last Crusada has its moments, but overall, it's far more slap-sticky than the others. The ending is just a rehash of the opening from Raiders - not very original. Marcus Brody's character was reduced to a moron - stupid.
The only redeeming thing from Temple of Doom is the club obi-wan sequence - I will own the DVD for that scene alone.

Now, Raiders...it's a masterpiece. It is absolutely perfect (because i say it is). The film is action packed from the start. There are some great funny moments, but they aren't stealing the show (the sequence where Marion is kidnapped, for instance, starts off with a great humorous touch (Williams' great score accentuates that), but ends very badly for our hero). The map chamber sequence is just plain cool. the ark is creepy. The nazi's are evil. The ending is classic. And the annoying monkey gets it.

All three are exellent, but here's another vote in favor of Crusade.

I voted for Temple of Doom. It was a childhood favorite of mine. Although I do enjoy the others, it has a special place in my heart .

Gotta go with Temple of Doom because I enjoyed it more than Raiders, but both are just perfect IMO. The only reason Raiders would outdo Temple is the fact that it has a bunh of melting nazis!

I like Raiders and Last Crusade equally with Temple of Doom only a bit behind, so I'll just say I like them all equally.

I like Radiers and Last Crusade a lot. Temple of Doom is not a great film. Both Shorty and especially Kate Capshaw really get on my nerves. not to mention a very basic plotline.

I love all three. It's been a while since I've watched one, my VHS copies are 13 years old, and pretty worn out.
But I had to vote for Raiders. It was the first one, the one that started it all. The one that I saw when I was still a little kid, on the 4th of July in 1981.

I voted for Temple of Doom, my absolute favorite. I saw it a thousand times that summer for $1 ... the good old days.

Raiders all the way. Starts with maybe the best opening 10-15 minutes ever, and just keeps on going.

(It IS to blame for the fact that every action/adventure/thriller etc released after it seems to think that it HAS to open with a bang though...... )

Raiders all the way! My #1 favourite movie of all time, ever. I have the damn thing memorized from start to finish.

Temple of Doom second. Much more over-the-top than the others, but tremendously entertaining.

Last Crusade third. Kind of slapsticky and not as well made, but still also totally fun.

I've seen Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade so many times over the years that it should only be natural for me to be tired of it, but I'm not (probably because it's been a while since I last saw it). It's still my favorite amongst the Indy movies, but I know just how awesome 'Raiders' is (and was for its time) in comparison, and love it practically just as much.

Raiders, of course. That's always been one of my favorite movies of all time.
Crusade comes in close second, but I don't like Temple of Doom very much at all, because there's no Nazis! ARRGH. :flush:

I voted Raiders today, but Crusade is just about a tie for first place. Temple of doom kinda isn't "Indy" enough

Crusade was actually the very first Indy movie I saw, and the second movie I saw after getting old enough to see movies with that age rating (which was 16 and up here in Norway) so I do perhaps have fonder memories of that one than most other movies.

-Raiders Of The Lost Ark: A+ (flawless)

-Indiana Jones And The Temple Of Doom: A (underrated, with some of the best stuntwork and F/X of the series)

-Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade: A- (more-of-the-same, but with Sean Connery! )

I just hope like hell that all three will be made available at once, as I wanna have an all-day Indy marathon, like I did with the Back To The Future trilogy.

I love them all. Temple of Doom was my favorite as a kid and is still my favorite to go back in and watch. But I have to say Raiders is my favorite now. I own the original trilogy when it first came out on VHS after Last Cruisade hit video. My tapes are worn out too much like my copy of ET and Back to the Future. My Star Wars original trilogy is getting worn out too, but those will have to do because they will never supposedly be put on dvd.

Raiders by a long shot, one of my favorite movies ever. Then Last Crusade, which was very good, followed by Temple of Doom which was just good.
