DeepdiscountDVD

Has anyone ordered from Deepdiscount DVD before? I was looking at some of their prices and they are really cheap. How is their service? Is their packaging good and the disk arrive in good shape?

Thanks

I've ordered items from them on 3 different occassions, and each time I was satisfied with the DVDs when they arrived. They're shipped in a box (!) with a little bit of packing material I believe. The only complaint I have is that one of the DVDs arrived after its official release date, but it was in perfect shape.

I've been very happy with DDD. I've ordered there three times, and each time I've had no trouble. The free shipping is a bit slow (because they're in CA, I'm in VA, and it's Media Mail), but it's free, so you can't beat it. Never had any damage problems.

At least 2 or 3 dozen orders. Always well packed, very timely & on the couple of times I've had a problem customer service is top notch. I'd recommend them in a heartbeat.

thanks everyone for the recommendation, I'm going to order from them now. I just had to make sure everyone had a good experience with them before I placed an order.

I was also thinking of ordering from then since they have the Rambo box set for $21.

How about DVDplanet.com? How's their service? Anyone here ordered from them?

I've made over a 100 orders from this site, and have had no problems. It's definitely the cheapest site there is. The only complaint one might have is the shipping time. It usually takes a week or more for the shipment to arrive, and that's after you actually recieved a shipping confirmation. Then again, you don't pay any shipping or handling charges either.

I order from them a lot, and have never been dissatisfied. Their service is far quicker than Deep Discount (of course it costs more too), and far more dependable than the cheapo/offshore sites. If you preorder, you're likely to get your dvds before the release date. And no place can beat their 35% discount on Criterion titles.

I had doubts about that, since deepdiscountdvd.com has always been the cheapest I could find, so I checked it out. With shipping included, and assuming dvdplanet.com doesn't charge sales tax, the new Criterion edition of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is about 30 cents cheaper at dvdplanet. Which isn't much, but I'd always rather have 30 cents than spend it.

There are plenty of previous threads on DDD.

The main consensus is that they may be slow, but they are reliable and the prices are hard to beat, especially for new releases.

I order from them pretty much exclusively.

Do a search to see previous threads on this topic. I'm too lazy to find the references at the momemt

I've ordered from them on over ten separate occasions...usually it takes about four days from placing order to receiving shipment (that is not counting Sundays)...but I'm in VA, which may be close to their wharehouse....

My only problem with them is when a product gets backordered... you just wait and wait and wait...

They don't send you an e-mail saying that it is backordered, even when it said that it was "in stock" when you ordered it.

They should send you some kind of notification when an order becomes backordered.

Instead they leave you wondering why your DVD hasn't shipped yet.

All you have to do is check your order status online.

They always email you to tell you it has been shipped though. And they will email you if the item is no longer available.

I've ordered from them many times and will in the future. They have good customer service too if you get a bad disc or something.
