Journey to the Center of the Earth
Is this worth a blind purchase?
Any word on the transfer quality? How would the story compare to 20,000 leagues? I know ive seen bits & pieces of the film on television, at some point in time, but, cant remember if its a good film, as a whole.

Just picked up my copy, another of the - "I can't wait Films" I've been waiting for.
While the picture looks great the sound has a problem, not having a surround sound system the bass about blew my speakers on the opening sound blast!!!! Cool little featurette on the restoration of the film showing a cross screen comparison with other attempts at restoration of this film. |

A lot depends on how old you are! I remember seeing this in the theater as a kid and it blew me away!
I was/am impressed with how well the special FX hold up after all this time. Now I can't wait for 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. It also made me want to see the Castaways!
